We are excited to announce that the IRCT project orientation session was successfully conducted on 10 July 2023 for the project staff and stakeholders. This session served as a platform to outline the project’s purpose and engage all parties involved in the project.
The primary objective of the IRCT project is to empower survivors in the Jaffna district who have received counselling services from FRC. The project aims to strengthen their economic condition by providing them with marketable skills, entrepreneurial training, business plan formulation and marketing skills, network strengthening, and community projects.
The orientation session was attended by Assistant Directors of Planning, Women Development Officers, Divisional Psychosocial Counsellors, Samurai officers from the Thellipalai and Uduvil Divisional Secretariats, and the project staff. The team discussed the steps and strategies to ensure the project's success. This included focusing on capacity building, developing networks, providing resources, and creating sustainable livelihoods for the beneficiaries.
The stakeholders also emphasised the need for effective monitoring and evaluation tools to track the project's progress and ensure that it reaches its intended targets. The session was wrapped up with the stakeholders expressing their wholehearted support and commitment towards achieving the project's goals and objectives.
We are grateful for the enthusiasm and dedication of all the stakeholders in making this project a success.
